Description: Joe Sewell c.1920s-1930s professional model baseball bat with rare early cork grip. Spalding brand with "Hand Turned" and model "No.200" noted in centerbrand. Block lettered into the barrel end is "J.Sewell." Of the few professional grade Spalding brand bats we have seen from this era, this is the only example we have encountered with cork grip. Bat displays evident usage wear with some grain swelling to the barrel. Grip has "alligator skin" appearance with loss throughout. Signed in black marker, "Joe Sewell" rating 9 out of 10.
