Description: 1948 Yankee Stadium Silver Anniversary presentational pen set. Striking display piece as presented to Joe Sewell in recognition of his contributions to the Yankees organization and participation in the 25th Anniversary celebration of their fabled Stadium. Marble base (5"x10") bears affixed "1923 1948 Silver Anniversary Yankee Stadium" descriptive placard which has "Joe Sewell" facsimile signature etched below. Mounted above is larger placard with exceptionally well executed depiction of the Stadium as shown from an aerial vantage. A pair of period fountain pens sit in receptacles at either side. "Schaeffer's" makers label remains affixed to underside.
