Description: Wally Schang professional model baseball bat c.1921-1931. Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball with Schang facsimile signature burned into the barrel end measures 34.75" long and weighs 35.5oz. Retains a beautiful even patina with usage wear evident throughout. Schang played in the Major Leagues for (19) seasons and was a highly regarded member of (4) Championship teams including the 1913 Philadelphia Athletics, 1918 Boston Red Sox, and 1923 New York Yankees. The leading pitchers of the era favored him behind the plate and he often caught for Eddie Plank, Babe Ruth, Chief Bender, Herb Pennock, and Lefty Grove.
