Description: 1940-1941 Pedro "Perucho" Cepeda signed Brujos de Guayama Player's Contract. Original contract as signed by Cepeda along with a pair of witnesses and both the team and League Presidents. Vintage fountain pen signatures rate 8/9 out of 10. Contract displays light toning with touch of wear at corners/edges and has pair of filing holes punched at top edge. Cepeda's career stretched from 1938-1950 during which he hit .400 or better in several seasons often finishing at or near the top of the League and in 1939-1940 edged out Josh Gibson to win his second consecutive batting title. It has been noted that the Major Leagues had Babe Ruth, Negro Leagues had Josh Gibson, and Puerto Rico had Perucho Cepeda. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Contract VG/EX, Sigs.
