Description: 1943-1944 Juan "Tetelo" Vargas signed Cangrejeros de Santurce Player's Contract. Original contract as signed by Vargas along with a pair of witnesses (includes Luis Olmo) and both the team and League Presidents. Vintage fountain pen signatures rate 8 to 9 out of 10. Contract displays toning/discoloration at edges/fold lines and has wear at corners/edges, light wrinkling throughout, and pair of filing holes at upper edge. Vargas was a noted star in both the Negro and Puerto Rican Leagues and would play for a total of (27) seasons in (5) different Countries. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Contract VG-VG/EX, Sig.
