Description: Early 1920s Philadelphia Hilldale Club related photographs (5 pieces). Series of period images as relate to the noted team which was one of the strongest assemblages of Negro League talent at the time. Includes (4) snapshot photographs with those shown identified in pencil at lower edge. Most notable is Louis Santop. Others are Toussaint Allen, Allen in group shot with Bunny Downs and another player noted as "Steve", and "Kenyon" who is likely a fan with players visible in background. Also includes 2.5"x6.5" printed team photo, likely removed from a scorecard or advertising broadside, showing the team (year unknown) in uniform with "my boys" written in period ink at one side. All pieces removed from scrapbook with either residue or some paper loss on back and/or front. Varying degrees of age toning, chipping/loss, and scattered wear throughout: GD-VG
