Description: 1955 Cangrejeros de Santurce team signed baseball with Roberto Clemente and Willie Mays "la Escuadron del Panico" (Caribbean Series Champions). Rawlings brand "Official League" baseball with additional "Liga Venezolana De Baseball Profesional" stampings has been signed by (28) members of the Puerto Rican representatives to the Caribbean Series who formed one of the most historically significant teams of the period. Handwritten "1955 Caracas Venezuela" notation, combined with ball stampings, indicate that it was signed at the Series itself. Notables include Roberto Clemente (last name only), Willie Mays (hit .462), Don Zimmer (Series MVP), Sad Sam Jones, Ruben Gomez, Luis Olmo, Luis Arroyo, Manager Herman Franks, and renowned Negro Leaguers Buster "Bus" Clarkson and Dick Seay. Together this roster earned the nickname "la Escuadron del Panico" which translates to "the squadron of panic." Signatures are mostly done in blue ink rating 8 to 8/9 out of 10 with (6) in fountain pen (including Clemente) rating 5 to 7.
