Description: October 24, 1972 Bill Mazeroski Release document from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Original one page typewritten letter on Pirates stationary informing Bill Mazeroski of his unconditional release from the team as an active player. The release formally ended the legendary playing career of Mazeroski that had spanned nearly two decades with the Pirates. Content also references Mazeroski's new designation as a coach for the Pirates and has been signed by General Manager Joe L. Brown at the bottom. Original fold lines visible with some minor paper residue on the reverse. Includes a Bill Mazeroski single signed Selig OML baseball.
