Description: 1909 World Series panoramic photograph. Printed photographic display piece issued as a supplement to the Pittsburgh Index, pictures a panoramic view of the opening game from the 1909 World Series at Pittsburgh. Overall size is 16"x41" framed with team panoramic images of the Tigers and Pirates positioned beneath the stadium view of Forbes Field. The series featured the matchup of Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb who had not previously played against each other. Image quality remains very fine with original fold lines having period tape reinforcement to the vertical joint lines.
