Description: Ted Williams, Opening Day 1947 (acetate negative). Ted Williams displayed in crisp clarity with striking contrast against the muted background. With note to overall aesthetic this image ranks as one of the finest ever taken of Williams and possibly one of the greatest baseball photographs of all time. Vintage negative (just under 4"x5") displays a hint of very light typical/expected toning/wear with only a few small areas of loss confined to edges.
