Spalding "King of The Diamond" model baseball has been signed across the sweet spot, "Walter Johnson" and dated below in his hand "Dec. 30, 1930." Vintage fountain pen signature rates 6 out of 10 retaining fine display qualities. Ball displays a light even cream coloration with bold stampings and a few minute flaws. One of the most celebrated players in history for his skill and sportsmanship, Johnson spent (21) seasons with the Washington Senators during which time he pitched (531) complete games, threw a record (110) shutouts, and notched (411) wins (second only to Cy Young). He lead the league in strikeouts a record (12) times and for over (50) years was the only man in history to have struck out more than (3,000) batters (3,508 in total).
