Description: 1908 Detroit Tigers Championship souvenir badge. Exceedingly rare souvenir piece issued in commemoration of the Tigers American League leading season. Heavy stock upper portion has "We-A-A-Ah Champion Tigers" lettered around a roaring Tiger likeness with design repeated on both front and back. Attached are black and gold ribbons reading "Pennant" and "1908" respectively. In fine condition overall with the slightest hint of light toning/wear mentioned for accuracy. Designed to be affixed by means of a string at top (original still present) and this surely made for an impressive display given the large size (upper portion 5" across, ribbons each 7.5" long): Strong EX/MT-NMEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
