Description: UPDATED DESCRIPTION: 1973 Jerry Koosman autographed New York Mets professional model road jersey. Desirable National League Championship season jersey, also notable for Koosman who posted 31 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings that year; a record which stood until broken by R.A. Dickey in 2012. A key figure all season long, he proved a post-season asset with key wins in both the NLCS and World Series. Road gray jersey has "Mets" team name lettered across the front in scripted logo font. This team name appears to be of the period and team issued but is a replacement for the original "New York" lettering which would have been on a 1973 jersey. It is quite possible that the shirt is original as issued and then was used subsequently in 1974 by Koosman when "Mets" were found across the front. Number "36" appears below and on the back. Period skyline logo patch on left sleeve. In the collar is a "36 73 44" embroidered strip tag denoting player, year, and size. "Wilson" manufacturer's tag on front tail lists the size, "44." Strong usage wear is evident throughout and Koosman has signed the front in marker rating 8 out of 10 (inscribed "To Mark"). Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX
