Grouping of materials bearing relation to Spahn's service as pitching coach for the Carp in the mid to late 1970s to include: Warm up jacket worn by Spahn having embroidered navy blue on white "C". Retains Descente emblem inside collar; Warm up jacket with "C" on front including (2) pairs of stirrup pants; (3) Japanese baseball publications including Carp yearbooks; "CBL" model ball signed by Japanese baseball team presumably the Carp; Numerous paper items including Spahn's original contracts with the Carp (not signed by Spahn, only Carp exec) Carp stationery with receipts; Several handwritten letters and postcards written by Spahn most of which are signed "Dad"; Tokyo Carp enamelwork tie bar; and Tokyo Carp souvenir metal lighter.
