Description: Fine August 13, 1963 Warren Spahn Record Breaking 2,382nd Strikeout baseball. Warren Giles National League baseball with evident game use, inscribed on side panel by Warren Spahn, "Vs Los Angeles Record Breaking Strikeout No. 2382 Aug 13-1963 Bob Miller". Spahn fanned Bob Miller on a called third strike establishing the record for career strikeouts by a left handed pitcher. Interestingly, Spahn passed Rube Waddell who had career totals listed at both 2375 and also 2381 causing some controversy in the period. In either case, Spahn set the mark and would finish with a total of 2583 remaining at 25th on the all time career list.
