Description: 1961 Warren Spahn-Lou Gehrig Memorial Award. Very fine quality mahogany plaque as presented to Spahn in 1961 for the player who most exemplified the character of Lou Gehrig both on and off the field. The plaque itself measures 17" tall with applied bronze bust of Gehrig along with several inscribed placards including "1961 Warren E. Spahn Milwaukee Braves". The plaque retains its original L.G.
