Description: Warren Spahn August 1960 National League Player of the Month Award. Handsome desktop figural inkwell set of a black onyx rectangular base with inset clock and two fountain pens. Inscribed brass placard remains affixed to the base, "Presented to Warren Spahn Milwaukee Braves In Recognition of Being Named National League Player of the Month For August 1960 by N.L. Writers & Broadcasters, Warren Giles President, National League". Spahn had an outstanding August posting a 6-0 record with a 3.41 ERA. Light surface wear and patination to the brass placard and accouterments. 10" long.
