Description: Significant 1958 Warren Spahn Milwaukee Braves Most Valuable Player award plaque. Fine quality mahogany plaque as presented to Warren Spahn by the Milwaukee Chapter of the BBWAA having an applied diamond shaped engraved brass placard on the front with figural baseball shaped garniture. Titled "Manning Vaughan Award" with secondary brass placard having BBWAA logo. Dated January 25, 1959 as presented at the 6th annual awards dinner in Milwaukee. Fine overall condition with minimal general wear including some scratching to brass placard surfaces. 19" tall. Includes period 3"x5" color photograph picturing Spahn receiving the award along with original December 1958 BBWAA typewritten letter informing Spahn of the honor: EX-MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
