Description: 1993 Mitch Williams Philadelphia Phillies World Series professional model home uniform. Pinstriped jersey and pants as worn by Phillies reliever Mitch Williams who was aptly nicknamed "Wild Thing" for his unique pitch delivery and colorful personality. Jersey retains its original embroidered "Phillies" team name across the front and 1993 World Series patch on sleeve with "Williams" lettering on back above #99. Proper Russell Athletic tagging affixed to tail front along with "100% Polyester" and "1 inch Extra Body Length" flag tagging. Pants retain Russell Athletic tagging with "33-29-93" supplemental tagging having "99 Thing" written in period black marker inside waistband. Both jersey and pants exhibit evident use including some light surface soiling and wash wear. Signed by Williams across the front in black sharpie. Mitch Williams will forever retain a prominent place in Phillies franchise history as a beloved closer who ended up surrendering the World Series clinching home run to Joe Carter in 1993. The uniform was originally obtained at the 1995 Phillies ALS auction event and retains original paperwork including auction catalogue and autograph ticket. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX-MT
