Description: Rare Vince Lombardi black coaching pants c.1969. Very rare and desirable pair of black pants attributed to having been worn by the legendary Hall of Fame coach during his brief tenure with the Washington Redskins in 1969. Period black pants retain their original "Mr. Levi's Sta-Prest Slacks by Levi Strauss & Co. San Francisco, CA". inside the waistband. Period initials "V.L." written on the tag in black and then again on top in white for better visibility both of which appear to have been done at the same time period. Pants themselves exhibit evident use and age wear while remaining in fine overall condition. While Lombardi's time with the Redskins was unfortunately cut short due to his diagnosis with cancer he left a lasting inspiration of excellence within the franchise that remains intact today. There is no greater name than that of Vince Lombardi within the history of the game with special note to the exceeding scarcity of sourced Lombardi related materials of this type.
