Description: 1944 Otto Graham All-American presentational certificate with archive of period/related paperwork including handwritten letter. Heavy paper stock 11.75"x15.75" certificate dated April 8, 1944 and titled "Helms Athletic Foundation All-American Collegiate Basketball Team" at top. Listed below are those selected for the honor including George Mikan and Graham with his attendance noted at both Northwestern and Colgate where he shifted after enrolling in the Naval Reserve. He would also be recognized as an All-American for his football talents as well. Includes period handwritten letter on University stationery from Graham to his father signed "Otto Jr" with content related an upcoming football game (mention of teammate Buckets Hirsch); (6) Northwestern paper stock report cards listing his grades; (3) 1943 dated letters written to Graham regarding his selection to the All-American team for that year; additional letter address to the school making them aware of his selection; and (2) page form letter sent to all whom would participate in the game with guidelines and a schedule.
