Description: Scarce 1903 Boston Royal Rooters World Series souvenir pin. Incredible rarity ranks as one of the most desirable baseball related pin backs of its type picturing members of the famed "Royal Rooters" Fan Club led by Mike "Nuf Ced" McGreevy. The "Rooters" are seated in the stands with members of the Boston team posed in full uniform seated below. It is believed that the image on the button was commissioned by McGreevy to be displayed at his legendary "Third Base Tavern" outside of Huntingdon Ave. Grounds from which the offered button type was created. General condition is very fine with strong contrast and image clarity having a small bit of foxing to the background area. Reverse retains its original pin back with some typical light to moderate rusting. 1.75" in diameter. This particular example was recently discovered along with the two 1903 World Series trade cards offered within this auction and numbers as one of only a scant handful of known copies: EXEstimated Price Range: ($4,000-$6,000)
