Description: Hank Gowdy professional model baseball bat with Hillerich & Bradsby Co. factory side writing c.1923. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 36" long and weighs 38.6oz. Very fine quality and substantive bat exhibiting evident use including ball marks, cleat marks, and some checking to the back of the barrel area. Facsimile signature area on the barrel has a chip to the left of the stamping which does intersect with "Harry" in the name lettering. Factory side writing is visible on the back of the barrel with a date of "7-24-23" indicative of its return date to the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. factory.
