Description: Nelson "Chicken" Hawks professional model baseball bat c.1920s. Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball bat measures 33.75" long and weighs 32.3oz. Facsimile signature of "Chick Hawks" has been burned into the barrel and the bat displays heavy usage wear with a substantial handle crack and the entire surface is blackened. Faint side writing cannot be discerned. Hawks, aside from having one of the great nicknames of the era, played alongside Babe Ruth with the 1921 New York Yankees.
