Description: Perfection Cigarettes panoramic advertising display c.1900-1910s. Large heavy stock store display has "Perfection Cigarettes" titling in the sky above a packed baseball stadium on 31" tall background board which measures a full (5) feet long. Die-cut front piece (43" long) having a crowd of spectators in period attire shows all smoking along with (2) packages of the Allen & Ginter product. Heavy wear throughout with discoloration/soiling, creasing/wrinkling, areas of surface loss/scuffing, and some chipping including a pair of large missing sections at top edge of backing. Front piece has (4) small holes, heavy crack/crease (which has been color filled), and the brim of (1) spectator hat has crease/break. The two are meant to be bowed and joined throughout flange/slot arrangement and it appears likely that an additional piece which would have formed the bottom is not present.
