Description: Harry Kalas 2009 Philadelphia Phillies National League Championship ring. Substantive white gold ring has "Phillies" team name across the top face raised against a baseball field with (4) diamonds to mark the bases and (12) rubies as base paths. The field is accented by approximately (29) additional stones of varying size. Lettered around the edge is "2009 National League Champions" which also features a pair of rectangular diamonds within the "00" portion of the year and a pair of rubies at top. Left shank has detailed relief of the National League Championship trophy with "Phillies 4 "Dodgers 1" banners at either side. Right has name "Kalas" at top and "2008 2009" flags flying above a baseball. Marked on the interior band "MOD" and "14K" and has Herff Jones "HJ" logo. Ring is size 9.5, displays little to no wear, and comes housed in original wooden presentation box with etched glass lid. One of the most significant modern era Championship rings to come to auction as relates to an iconic figure, awarded to Kalas' family in honor of his final season with the franchise.
