Description: Rare 1861 "Home Run Quick Step" baseball sheet music. Large 9 3/4"x12 3/4" sheet music with appealing color tinted engraving of a baseball game scene with two uniformed players on either side. Baseball equipment and floral decor surround the central image, titling at the bottom includes, "Respectfully Dedicated to the Members of the Mercantile Base Ball Club of Philadelphia". Cover is framed for display with visible area having mild age toning and scattered creasing/wear including several areas of surface loss. Appears professionally restored with several chips filled in and pencil writing removed from upper corner. Balance of the music interior pages (separated) displays with typical handling and age wear.
