Description: Harmon Killebrew's autographed 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic torch and torch relay outfit. Desirable original 2002 Olympic torch as carried by Harmon Killebrew as part of the traditional "carrying of the flame" from Olympia, Greece to the site of the games. While authentic torches do reach the secondary market with some regularity it is highly unusual to find an example with direct attribution to a noted individual. Torch measures 33" long with raised "Salt Lake 2002" and Olympic rings logos near top and "Light The Fire Within" captioning at bottom. Expected blackening to glass upper portion from use. Killebrew's complete "Olympic Torch Relay" logos outfit consisting of windbreaker, long sleeved shirt, pants, gloves, and hat. With exception of hat/gloves, all pieces display light usage wear and have been laundered. Both torch and jacket have been signed in marker rating 7 to 8 out of 10 (slight bleed on jacket). In addition, both pieces also have number "071" identifier affixed. Also includes Killebrew signed participation certificate (9/10 out of 10), March 18, 2002 letter thanking him for his participation, auction LOA from JSA (autographs), and letter of provenance from Nita Killebrew: Overall EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
