Description: Large grouping of materials as related to Eddie Stanky's Managerial career c.1950s-1960s. Fascinating archive offering a "behind the scenes" glimpse into the workings of a Major League Manager includes pair of his clipboards (and vintage photograph holding similar example) retaining original paperwork (to include handwritten notes, scouting reports, etc). One has "Stanky" written on vintage tape affixed to clip portion. Both have paperwork as related to Major League teams with one focused on the 1967 White Sox; pocket sized leather foldover notepad/pen holder (numerous handwritten entries inside) with several Cardinals business cards (a few others); postmarked 1959 envelope from the St. Louis Cardinals with pad of blank expense reports; additional unused pad of expense sheets with handwritten notations on back and mostly used Cardinals note pad with notations on first page; Scouting report pad with (2) completed pages in Stanky's hand (each signed as well) from 1964 Texas League games including (1) for San Antonio game in which Joe Morgan played; (5) c.1960s lineup cards including (1) signed, and having handwritten notes on back; c.late 1960s spiral bound notebook with notes and newspaper clippings; and book of highly detailed scouting reports from Spring Training of 1954, his first year as a Manager (note: these were likely done for Stanky, not by him).
