Description: 1950 Eddie Stanky New York Giants Most Valuable Player trophy. Important and substantive award piece as presented to Stanky having incised brass placard affixed to base front reading "Annual Award Presented By The Section 5 Club of The Polo Grounds Inc to Edward Stanky As The Outstanding and Most Valuable Player Of The New York Giants Baseball Club For The Year 1950." Stands nearly 26" tall with figural baseball at top. Central support is flanked by (4) columns, each holding small globe with seated Eagle. One back column has been repaired, the other is a replacement. 10.25"x18" Base has figural pitcher on one side and batter on the other (missing bat).
