Description: 1911 A.G. Spalding autographed copy of "America's National Game." First edition of Spalding's classic and important early history of the game, hardbound with gilt impressed cover and spine. Signed on the first inside page, "To Mr Casper (undecipherable), Who has done so much in the (?) building of legitimate athletic sports, With my compliments, A.G. Spalding, New York Oct. 29, 1911." Period ink signature/inscription rate 9 out of 10. Book remains very well preserved with a of light exterior wear. Interior has split to paper portion of seam on inside front cover (underlying material remains intact) and retains all fold out inserts. One of the finest condition signed examples we have encountered. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Book EX/MT, Sig. NM-MT
