Description: 1935 Leo Durocher St. Louis Cardinals player contract. Original "National League of Professional Baseball Clubs Uniform Player's Contract" as executed between Leo Durocher and the St. Louis Cardinals retaining his services for the 1935 season. Signed in the period by Durocher along with Branch Rickey who was then Vice President of the team. Bold blue fountain pen signatures rate 9 out of 10. Typical fold lines with light wear and toning which is slightly more accentuated at left edge. The Cardinals were enjoying a period of immense success having just won the 1934 World Series and Durocher is acknowledged as the leader of team which was known as the "Gas House Gang." His playing career extended through 1945 overlapping with managerial duties he assumed in 1939 that would last through the 1970s. Includes auction LOA from JSA: EX-EX/MT, Sigs.
