Description: July 28, 1943 "Yanklands" vs. "Cloudbusters" War Bond game autographed baseball with Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. Unusual multi-signed baseball originating from one of several War Bond games in with Ruth took part. This effort featured a combined Yankees and Indians team (Yanklands) vs. a Naval All-Star Team (Chapel Hill Cloudbusters). Ruth Managed the Major League squad and made one of his last plate appearances in a Yankees uniform. Reach "Official League" baseball has been signed by (30) who were in attendance that day including Babe Ruth (6/7 out of 10) and Ted Williams (5/6 out of 10 over League stampings) positioned such that both can be visible at the same time along with Bill Dickey, Joe Gordon, Ernie Bonham, Lou Boudreau, Frank Crosetti, and others. Joe McCarthy is clubhouse signed. In addition, some decades later Mickey Mantle was added. Period fountain pen signatures rate 3/4 to 6/7 out of 10. Mantle, in ink, rates 8 out of 10. Ball displays moderate even toning/soiling, has a hint of scattered wear, and bears period game date/location notation. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Ball VG/EX, Sigs.
