Description: New York Black Yankees vs. Indianapolis Clowns advertising broadside c.1940s. Colorful period advertising display promoting a game played at Bowen Field in Bluefield, West Virginia between two of the most notable Negro League teams of the era. Several players are pictured (2 by photo, 3 by illustration) on lower portion including fan favorite entertainers Spec Bebop and King Tut. Visible area measures approximately 13"x22", framed to 25.75"x31.75" overall for display. Light scattered wear/toning and it appears likely that the piece has been professionally cleaned and a very few areas may have a touch of inpainting/restoration.
