Description: Rare Kansas City Monarchs broadside featuring Satchel Paige c.1940s. Highly desirable period advertising piece with full length image of Paige in uniform reads in part, "Featuring Satchel Paige K.C. Monarchs-will play the Milton Bradley Toymakers." Date is stated as Monday August 25th of unknown year. Moderate consistent toning throughout with several tack holes from mounting, (3) small tears at lower right, and a few light/moderate creases. Tastefully matted and framed to 17.5"x23" overall with 10.5"x16.5" visible area. Substantive period Negro League pieces, especially those featuring so notable a figure as Paige, are particularly scarce with this being one of only a few that we have handled: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$2,500)
