Description: 1941 Joe DiMaggio presentational trophy plaque. Impressive shield shaped mahogany plaque measures 19" tall with an affixed silverplated placard on the front inscribed to DiMaggio. Given to DiMaggio in honor of his amazing 1941 season and lifetime baseball accomplishments by Jimmy DeMonte and the baseball fans of Hartford, CT "as a token of our recognition of your contribution to the sport of baseball." Retains its original International Silver Co. metal label on the reverse. The silverplated plaque is formed with a raised center having some indentations. The silverplating itself has some typical light surface flaking. Originally offered as part of the DiMaggio Estate and will include letter of provenance from his granddaughters: EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,250)
