Description: Ted Williams' personal baseball themed chess set. High quality set produced by Danbury Mint in limited numbers, includes hand painted pieces with one representing Williams himself. Other notables include Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb, Aaron, Mays, and Robinson. Very fine overall condition appearing never to have been used with all pieces present in the storage area which is below playing surface. Measures 17.5" square.
