Description: 1959 Ted Wieand 10k gold Havana Sugar Kings Junior World Champions ring. Presentational ring features the teams logo mascot at center of clear face with "Cubans Junior World Champions 1959" lettered around the edge. Crossed bats with glove and ball motifs appears on both shanks. Stamped "Balfour 10" on interior band which is also engraved, "Ted Wieand." The 1959 Junior World Series remains one of the most interesting of Minor League post-season history with Fidel Castro having assumed power in the country just a few weeks prior.
