Description: 1989 Bret Saberhagen Kansas City Royal professional model road jersey. Powder blue jersey has "Royals" team name lettered across the front in script logo front with player number "18" below. Number also appears on back below restored player name, "Saberhagen." Original "KC R" logo patch is on left sleeve and there is Velcro insert between the second and third buttons. Left front tail has "Wilson" manufacturer's tag with adjacent date code "BY", custom cut "1 Inch X-Length", and size "42" flag tags. Below is an embroidered "89 1" strip tag denoting year and set number. While the majority of Royals jersey were manufactured by Rawlings in 1989 we have found images of Saberhagen wearing both Rawlings and Wilson jerseys (as determined by differences within the player number identifiers - for this style see Getty image 51904204).
