Description: Harmon Killebrew autographed c.1966 folk art decorated baseball. Fully decorated baseball featuring exceptionally well executed artwork on all panels in commemoration of April 15, 1966 Twins vs. Angels game in which Harmon Killebrew collected his 1,000th career hit. "April 15, 1966 1000th Hit" has been lettered on one panel with the opposite having logos from each team and an accounting of the events. Remaining (2) panels have a stadium like motif on one side and a likeness of Killebrew batting on the other. Killebrew has signed the ball (recent signature) in blue ink rating 7/8 out of 10. Light coat of shellac applied in the period and little to no wear worthy of mention. Although not signed, the work is attributed to former player Del Wilbur who is known to have illustrated like examples related to other significant players/games. Outstanding and highly visual display piece. Includes auction LOA from JSA and letter of provenance from Nita Killebrew: Ball EX/MT, Sig. EX/MT-NMEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$2,000)
