Description: 1969 Harmon Killebrew "Minnesota Twins Most Valuable Player" trophy. Highly visual presentational piece awarded following the 1969 season which stands as the best Killebrew enjoyed in his (22) year Major League career. Named the American Leagues Most Valuable Player he hit a League leading (49) home runs, collected (140) RBIs, and made his 9th All-Star Game appearance. As of this writing his home run, RBI, and walk totals from that year remain Twins team records. Trophy stands a full 24" tall with figural batter atop loving cup style handled bowl with elongated pedestal. Wooden base has 8.25" square footprint with large metal placard affixed which has been engraved, "1969 Minnesota Twins Most Valuable Player, Harmon Killebrew, Presented by WTCN TV & Theo. Hamm Brewery." Very minor scattered wear remaining in well preserved condition overall. "Awards Inc." manufacturers/retailer label appears on bottom.
