Impressive 14"x19" original black and white candid image taken in Washington D.C. in 1969, picturing Ted Williams, Commissioner Bowie Kuhn, and President Richard Nixon. Signed in black ink on the bottom margin, "To Ted Williams, Who for thirty years, has demonstrated that he is what everyone means when they say Big Leaguer. With Best Wishes from Richard Nixon". Signature and inscription rate 9 out of 10 and present beautifully against the cream color mount which exhibits ever so slight areas of toning. Given its size, inscription, and provenance, the offered example is certainly among the finest Nixon signature images to have been offered at auction.
