Description: Ted Williams United States Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame award. Matted and framed display as presented to Ted Williams on June 29, 2001 honoring Williams upon his selection to the Marine Corps Sports Hall of Fame. The certificate is titled as having been awarded to Ted Williams and has been signed at the bottom by General James L. Jones in green marker. Two commemorative Marine Corps coins with red enamelwork are also featured in the framed display, which measures 15"x16": NM. The lot also includes 1998 typewritten letter on Ted Williams stationery as sent to the US Marine Corps thanking them for an invitation to participate in a parade.
