Description: Ted Williams United States Marine Corps presentational citation along with Ted Williams autographed letter. Red leather bound foldout presentational folio as issued to Williams to signify his appointment as an honorary squadron commander. Interior displays an embossed certificate with President of the United States regalia at the top. Opposite panel displays a hand stenciled certificate with a vintage "Tomcats VMA-311" uniform patch: NM. The lot also includes 1998 typewritten letter on Ted Williams stationery as sent to the US Marine Corps thanking them for an invitation to participate in a parade. Signed, "Ted Williams" and "Semper Fi" in ink at the bottom: NM and a modern era 8"x10" framed color photo picturing Williams in his military uniform with a similar squadron patch: EX.
