Description: 1972 Ted Williams Veterans of Foreign Wars Merit Award. Prestigious award as presented to Williams for his "Exceptional Service Rendered to Country, Community, and Mankind". Front of the medal features raised dÄcor with "Veterans of Foreign Wars Merit Award" raised lettering. Reverse has aforementioned titling along with "Ted Williams" inscribed nameplate. Retains its original red, white, blue, and gold ribbon housed in a custom made shadowbox frame with vellum backing and "Ted Williams" nameplate. Marked "Medallic Art Co" on edge of the medal along with "10K stamping. Substantive medal weighs a remarkable 4 oz. Very fine and significant military presentational medal honoring the many years of military service contributed by Ted Williams. Includes a vintage 8"x10" framed black and white photo of Williams in military uniform shaking hands with another officer: EX-MT
