Description: Ted Williams 1953 United States Marine Corps World War II Discharge Certificate. Original certificate of honorable discharge as issued to Captain Theodore S. Williams, measuring 8"x10" in its original matting and frame. Signed at the bottom by Secretary of the Navy R.B. Anderson at bottom right. The certificate itself remains fairly clean with only a few areas of light foxing and the original matting having some foxing due to age, but was left intact for the sake of originality. Includes a vintage photo of a period news article picturing Williams receiving related discharge papers.
