Description: Ted Williams 1969 "Bucky Harris" Manager of the Year award. Mahogany cased Elgin clock as presented to Williams in recognition of his designation as Manager of the Year for the 1969 season. Both side panels of the clock feature applied brass placards inscribed with Williams' managerial statistics on one side. Other panel is inscribed, "Awarded by Washington DC Chapter Baseball Writers Association of America January 20, 1970 Shoreham Hotel". The clock remains in fine original condition and is not currently in running condition. Ted Williams captured the award as manager of the year in 1969 turning around a beleaguered Washington Senators club from 65 wins in 1968 to 86 wins in 1969. 13" tall: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
