Description: Ted Williams Pre War J.P.Sauer & Son Suhl Germany Side by Side Shotgun. 20 gauge serial number 293262. 26" improved/modified chokes. Sauer was and is one of the most respected of all Pre-War German gun manufacturers. Offered is a top quality light weight 20 with some nice simple engraving on the receiver that retains traces of its original finish. The full matted rib and barrel finish retain about 98% of their original factory blue. Bores are mint. Beautiful hand checkered dark walnut wood is excellent with just some minor high edge wear. Single selective trigger. The front sling swivels that are mounted to barrels are plugged and there is a wood plug in bottom of stock where swivel was plugged as well.
