Description: Exceptional and scarce Ted Williams autographed photograph c.1939-1940. Stunning sepia tone 8"x10" image picturing a young Ted Williams in Red Sox uniform leaping to catch a baseball. Signed across the front in black fountain pen rating 10 out of 10. Autograph is an extremely uncommon early career example, it is the first of its type we have encountered on an 8"x10" size format image. Photo itself remains very clean with excellent contrast and blank back having a few surface wrinkles primarily to the upper right corner.
