Description: Ted Williams Hoover High School Lifetime Pass c.1937. Handsome gold colored pass as presented to Williams in honor of his "Outstanding Athletic Ability" in 1937. Pass measures 2"x3 1/4" engraved on the front, "Hoover High School San Diego 1937 Life Pass Present to Ted Williams". Hoover High School emblem is found at the center with red enamelwork inlay. Includes a period blue velvet lidded box with "Irwin's Jewelers San Diego" markings on the interior, in which the pass was found but unclear if it was the original box. Very fine period item relating to Ted Williams exceptional early baseball career in high school.
